Sebacic Acid is a Saturated straight - chain dicarboxylic acid with 10 Carbon atom having Cas Number : 111-20-6 manufactured from Castor Oil. It is in powder form or flakes form used as corrosion inhibitor in metal working fluids, Anti - Freeze Coolant, lubricants. it is also used as thickener in lithium complex grease.

It is used in Plasticizers, cosmetics, candles also used in synthesis of polyamide (PA 6.10, PA 4.10, PA 10.10 etc) and alkyd resins. In Plastics sebacic acid is used to provide better flexibility and lower melting temperature. It is also used an intermediate for aromatics, antiseptic and painting material.
